We love our Lower Mills community and are proud to support our neighbors. Local sourcing is simply what makes our food so tasty, so we do our best to utilize as many local products throughout Boston and New England as possible when planning and serving our dishes.
Local Farms
We love our local New England farms and suppliers! Our restaurant specials are created with fresh, local fish, meat, and produce delivered each morning - and, if we can't get it delivered, we'll go out and get it ourselves to ensure we are always serving the freshest dishes possible.
Local farms in Milton and Canton MA, and New England provide us with a vast variety of produce throughout the season. One of our favorites, Canton's Brookwood Community Farm, is a local working farm that offers quality products throughout the seasons.
Neighborhood Farmer's Markets are also another great way we support our local community and are able to offer dishes with additional locally sourced ingredients. We can't pass up all that Milton's Billion Backyard Bee Project always has to off.
Local Breweries
As a neighborhood pub in Boston, it is impossible to ignore all the awesome breweries we have throughout Massachusetts and the New England area. We are always trying to make the best, most unique beers available to our customers.
Our ever-evolving beer collection includes tons of local brews. The close relationships we have with local brewers ensure you'll always find something new and interesting on the menu.
Local Spirits
Who doesn't love a GREAT cocktail? Our bartenders are always working to come up with fun, creative new drinks to keep things interesting.
We especially love craft cocktails with spirits emphasizing local New England characters, which is why we look to supply as many offerings from local distilleries as we can. Some of our consistent favorites are Lion's Tail gin, Boston Harbor Distilleries, and Bully Boy.
Don't forget, we offer an extensive Whiskey menu as well! Inquire with our staff as to the most recent local offerings as they are always changing as new spirits become available.
Local Events & Entertainment
Given our Irish Roots, Lower Mills Tavern's community involvement is deeply ingrained in almost everything we do. From our annual holiday toy drive for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester to our "Give 5 Get 5" on Giving Tuesdays event which, again, supports local charities in helping to make more opportunities available for the youth in our area.
We also LOVE promoting Boston's best local musical artists, of which there are many. Our live entertainment line-up continuously offers a comfortable and familiar New England vibe which is best enjoyed with great company and our great food. This includes our live Irish Session every Tuesday with Boston's own Cliodhna Field.
